Ashley is a graduate of Indiana University with a Bachelor of Science in Recreation in the field of Therapeutic Recreation, with a focus on behavioral healthcare. Her experience includes working in several residential treatment centers, substance abuse rehab programs, supporting psychiatric intensive care units, and general psychiatric care. She has over 10 years of experience working with clients across the lifespan (Adults, children, and adolescents).

Ashley has used her specialty to treat individuals suffering from clinical depression, mood instability, anxiety disorders, anger issues, substance abuse, and various psychotic symptoms.  Ashley practices a modality that empowers individuals to actively engage in leisure interests, to foster mental strength through recreation.  Her experience includes collaboration with other conventional mental/behavioral health inpatient and outpatient facilities such as Partial Hospitalization Programs (PHP), and private practices to establish their Therapeutic Recreation programs.

Ashley is member of American Therapeutic Recreation Association (ATRA) as well as having a seat on the sub-committee for the National Council for Therapeutic Recreation Certification (NCTRC).

She is currently a provider at the inpatient program at Westpark Springs Hospital. Her hobbies include dancing, reading, self-improvement, meditating, church activities, outdoor activities, and spending time with family.
