Jose is a bilingual (English and Spanish) Board-Certified Physician Assistant (PA) with extensive experience in child, adolescent, and adult psychiatry. He completed a Master of Science Physician Assistant program at California State University Monterey Bay. He holds a BA in Psychology from the University of St. Thomas in Houston, TX. While at St. Thomas, Jose was the president of the Psi Chi National Honor Society in Psychology and was awarded the distinction of “Outstanding Graduate in Psychology,” an award given to the top graduate of the program each year.
Most recently, Jose worked on completing a Post-Graduate PA Fellowship in Psychiatry at The Harris Center for Mental health and IDD. During his clinical rotations there, he was exposed to a variety of diagnoses, and had the opportunity to evaluate and manage patient’s psychiatric needs in both the inpatient and outpatient setting. He is experienced in working with patients from age 3 to 95.
Jose is passionate about offering judgement-free, culturally sensitive, and up-to-date medical treatment that put the needs of every patient first.
