Sophia Zafar, PA-C
Physician Assistant, Sophia Zafar, earned her Bachelor’s degree in Biology with a minor in Public Health from The University of Houston and her Master’s in Physician Assistant Studies from The University of North Texas Health Science Center.
During her Master’s studies, she developed a passion for Psychiatry while rotating with MHMR. She is certified by the National Committee on Certification of Physician Assistants and licensed to practice in Texas by the Texas Medical Board.
Sophia is a member of The American Academy of Physician Assistants, Texas Academy of Physician Assistants, and The National Alliance on Mental Illness.
Sophia has three years of full-time clinical Psychiatric experience treating adolescent and adult patients and two years of hospital experience performing hospital consults. Sophia has diverse experience with patients of all backgrounds and practices high quality patient centered care.
