LaRita Whittington earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Southern University and A&M College and earned her Master of Science in Nursing at McNeese State University. A dedicated psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner, LaRita has hands-on experience in managing a wide range of psychiatric conditions, including mood and anxiety disorders, substance use, and co-occurring disorders.
Her clinical experience includes roles at prominent healthcare facilities such as The Menninger Clinic and Texas Children’s Hospital, where she has implemented innovative practices to enhance patient care. LaRita is skilled in Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) and advanced modalities including Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) and Electroconvulsive Therapy (ECT).
