Mariam’s professional journey includes over 500 hours of work as a Medical Scribe, gaining expertise in specialties such as Family Medicine, Pediatrics, and Genetics. Her proficiency in Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems, including Epic and Citrix, ensures accurate and efficient documentation of patient histories, procedures, and care plans. Mariam excels in providing high-quality support to healthcare teams within fast-paced, patient-centered environments. Beyond her clinical experience, Mariam is passionate about medical research and community health initiatives. She has led scholarship-funded research projects on health disparities faced by Arab American immigrants and aspires to publish her first paper on her findings. Her commitment to fostering community building is reflected in her active role as Assistant Director of Youth For A Better Houston (YFBH), where she organizes volunteer initiatives to prepare and package clothing and food for underserved communities, including Fifth-ward.
