Position Summary:
Impireum Psychiatric Group is seeking self-motivated reliable Medical Assistants (MA) with experience in Adult/Pediatric Psychiatry for our Katy, TX location. Candidate must be a graduate of an accredited MA program with 2 years previous medical assistant experience or equivalent in the psychiatric field.
Tasks:
Duties Include but Not Limited to:
- Checking in patients
- Performing Insurance initial and prior authorization
- General administrative duties and clinicians procedure assistance.
- Strong computer skills including solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office software.
- Experience with medical software preferred.
- Positive, customer-focused approach, with a commitment to providing excellent patient care.
- Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organization skills and attention to detail.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited MA Program.
- Psychiatric setting experience preferred.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written english proficiency required.
- Ability to function independently with minimal supervision within the scope of knowledge and authority of the position.
- Knowledge of office equipment operation (telephone system, fax/copy machine, etc.).
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
