Licensed Counselor Social Worker (LCSW)

Position Summary:

Under the supervision of the Medical Director, the Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) is responsible for providing comprehensive, evidence-based psychotherapy and clinical support services to patients across the lifespan. The LCSW will deliver individual, family, and group therapy; collaborate with psychiatric and medical providers; and assist patients in accessing community resources, social services, and wellness supports to address broader psychosocial needs.

Special Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

Specialized training in Evidence-Based Practices (EBP) and Empirically-Based Treatments (EBT)
Strong understanding of trauma-informed care and the impact of trauma on the central nervous system
Training in: Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) for PTSD, Prolonged Exposure Therapy (PE) for PTSD, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) for depression, anxiety, insomnia, and related diagnoses
Ability to work independently and collaboratively
Proficiency with EMR/EHR documentation
Ability to read, write, and speak English clearly

Key Responsibilities

Provide individual, family, or group psychotherapy using evidence-based therapeutic modalities
Complete psychosocial assessments to determine mental health, behavioral, and social service needs
Formulate differential diagnoses for mild to moderate mental health and substance use disorders
Establish, implement, and evaluate short- and long-term treatment goals
Participate in team meetings to review progress and coordinate treatment plans
Identify high-risk situations (suicidal/homicidal ideation, psychosis, severe instability) and refer to emergency or inpatient services as needed
Provide crisis intervention and risk assessment for acute situations
Document sessions, assessments, and interventions within 24 hours in accordance with medical and billing requirements
Collaborate with community organizations to facilitate referrals, social support services, and patient advocacy
Participate in continuing education, quality improvement initiatives, and clinical policy development
Maintain compliance with licensing board requirements, including CEUs
Perform additional duties as assigned
