Nikolle Johnson is a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate supervised by Leonard Marshall (LPC-S), specializing in children, adolescents, couples, and families, with additional focus on substance use and support for the LGBTQIA+ community. She earned her Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Houston-Clear Lake and a Bachelor’s Degree in History from Sam Houston State University, where she also obtained her teaching certification. This distinctive educational foundation, combining education and clinical training, shapes her holistic, client-centered approach to therapy — grounded in Impireum’s Golden Circle philosophy of building trust first and empowering clients to perform at their highest potential.
Beginning her career in education at Lamar CISD, Nikolle worked as a teacher where she developed a strong foundation in supporting children and adolescents academically, socially, and emotionally. Through this work, she gained valuable experience in behavior management, family collaboration, and addressing the diverse needs of students. Her transition into counseling allowed her to expand this work into more in-depth therapeutic support, helping clients navigate challenges such as emotional regulation, relationship concerns, and life stressors. This journey from classroom to clinical practice reflects her belief that meaningful change begins with a trusted relationship — the very principle at the heart of how Impireum serves every individual and family.
Her clinical experience includes working with individuals struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, substance use, and family conflict, as well as adolescents involved in the juvenile justice system. She is especially passionate about creating a safe, affirming space for clients of all backgrounds, including those within the LGBTQIA+ community. Nikolle utilizes evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), while tailoring interventions to meet each client’s unique needs and goals.
Currently, Nikolle takes a compassionate, strength-based, and trauma-informed approach to therapy. She is dedicated to helping clients build self-awareness, develop healthy coping skills, and create meaningful, lasting changes. She offers individual therapy for children, adolescents, and adults, as well as couples and family counseling, with a focus on fostering connection, healing, and personal growth.
Whether you’re seeking support for your child’s emotional well-being, navigating family or relationship challenges, working through substance use recovery, or looking for an affirming therapeutic space, Nikolle provides a warm, client-centered environment where trust is the foundation and every step forward matters.
“I believe that healing begins when people feel truly seen and safe. By building trust first and honoring each person’s unique story and strengths, we create the foundation for real, lasting change. My goal is to walk alongside every client and family as they discover their own capacity for growth.”
