How the VA and TriWest Referral Process Works to Get Started with Impireum Psychiatric Group®

We’ve simplified the intake and registration process to make accessing care as easy as possible, whether you’re referred through VA.gov, TriWest Healthcare Alliance®, or directly you’re your VA PCP, follow these steps:

Step 1:
Obtain VA Eligibility

  • Enroll in VA Health Care:
    If you are not yet enrolled in VA health care, visit VA.gov to apply online or call 877-222-8387 for support.
  • Confirm Eligibility:The VA will determine your eligibility for health care services and benefits. Once enrolled, you can begin the process of obtaining mental health services

Step 2:
Authorization from TriWest Healthcare Alliance®

Once your community care referral is approved by the VA:

  • Receive Authorization:
The VA will forward your referral to TriWest Healthcare Alliance®, which administers the care network for VA community care. You will receive an authorization code from TriWest, which you’ll need when scheduling your appointment at Impireum Psychiatric Group®. 

  • Verify Your Information:
TriWest will contact you to confirm your referral details. You can also call TriWest at 866-651-4977 if you have questions about your authorization or referral status.

Step 3:
Schedule Your Appointment at Impireum

  • Contact Impireum Psychiatric Group®:
Call us at 877-631-0010 to schedule your first appointment. Provide your TriWest 
authorization code and any additional information required for eligibility verification.
    If you are not yet enrolled in VA health care, visit VA.gov to apply online or call 877-222-8387 for support.
  • Complete Impireum’s Registration Process:
Use our New Patient Registration Portal to complete your intake process online, ensuring a smooth transition to care.
